“Bringing Hope to Haiti — One Child, One Mission, One Heart at a Time”
Since 1994, Project Haiti has partnered with Father Rick Frechette, St. Damien Hospital, St Luc Foundation and other friends in Haiti to deliver medical aid, compassion, and lasting change.
Project Haiti supports children's health and welfare in Haiti through fundraising and community programs from our base in Boise, Idaho.
A little history about Project Haiti...
In 1994, Saint Alphonsus became aware of a great need in poverty-stricken Haiti. Two Catholic priests had founded a hospital called St. Damien Hospital, and an orphanage named "Our Little Brothers and Sisters" to care for the many abandoned children who are dying from AIDS in Haiti. It is an island of hope in a sea of despair.
Project Haiti was created to provide resources and expertise to help support the work of Father Rick Frechette. Since beginning our support in 1995, we have helped to build 2 full service hospitals, ongoing community medical care throughout Haiti, feeding programs and schools for thousands of children and continuing outreach programs.
Project Haiti sends regular shipments of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, and each year a medical mission team travels to Port-au-Prince to offer help, support and education to the hospital and orphanage. Since 1995, 25+ mission teams staffed by our volunteers and medical staff have traveled to Haiti to help those providing such needed care to the people of Haiti.
The needs of the hospital, feeding programs, educational programs and orphanages are great. Project Haiti, through the support of the many Friends of Project Haiti is proud to help meet those needs.
THANK YOU for your continued support!
