Support Children's Health in Haiti

Join us in making a difference for children in Port-au-Prince and beyond.

About Project Haiti

Supporting children's health and welfare in Haiti through fundraising and community programs from our base in Boise, Idaho.

In 1994, Saint Alphonsus became aware of a great need in poverty-stricken Haiti. Two Catholic priests had founded a hospital called St. Damien Hospital, and an orphanage named "Our Little Brothers and Sisters" to care for the many abandoned children who are dying from AIDS in Haiti. It is an island of hope in a sea of despair.

Project Haiti was created to provide resources and expertise to help support the work of Father Rick Frechette. Since beginning our support in 1995, we have helped to build 2 full service hospitals, ongoing community medical care throughout Haiti, feeding programs and schools for thousands of children and continuing outreach programs.

Project Haiti sends regular shipments of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, and each year a medical mission team travels to Port-au-Prince to offer help, support and education to the hospital and orphanage. Since 1995, 15 mission teams have traveled to Haiti.

The needs of the hospital and orphanages are great. Project Haiti through the support of the many Friends of Project Haiti is proud to help meet those needs.
