Executive Director - Matthew Brown, MD
Matt is one of Project Haiti's OGs. In 1998, he got a call from Sandra Bruce needing a physician leader for a trip to Haiti - leaving in less than a week. He said yes then - and has continued to say yes when asked to serve as a leader for Project Haiti having led more than 20 trips to Haiti. Matt has chaired Project Haiti for 20+ years - and continues to be our fearless leader - as well as our reluctant emcee for our many events.
When Matt isn't being a servant leader for Project Haiti, he is a full time pediatrician with Saint Alphonsus Medical Group and he is "Ba'a" (Grandpa) to Katie's twins. He also was pianist at the Deer Flat Free Methodist Church for more than 20 years, he started and ran the state's first ski camp for kids and teens with diabetes for 18 years - and served on the board of Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs for 19 years.
His enduring passion for the people of Haiti drive his work with Project Haiti.

In retirement, she continues to give back to the community in meaningful ways, including through her ongoing involvement with Project Haiti.
On her over 30 mission trips to Haiti she has been proud to witness the remarkable evolution of Project Haiti and is continually inspired by the expansion of Father Rick Frechette’s work. His efforts on the ground have only deepened her passion and commitment to the cause.
In addition to her nonprofit work, Debbie is the co-owner of Vintage Woolens of Idaho, a small business that creates handcrafted mittens from upcycled wool sweaters. Inspired by his father, Dr. Gary Cieslak, who made annual medical trips to Haiti, Michael first visited the country himself in 2002. Since then, he and his mother, Mitzi - also having completed countless trips to Haiti, have remained deeply involved with Project Haiti. Those early experiences shaped not only his compassion for others but also his commitment to justice and service that now guides his career.

He’s traveled to more than 50 countries, enjoys collecting fine scotch, and is an enthusiastic supporter of theater and the performing arts. He has also served on the boards of both a community orchestra in New Orleans and his neighborhood association in Boise.
Michael brings to the Project Haiti Board not only his legal and environmental expertise but also his lifelong connection to the mission — and a genuine passion for making a difference.

After returning to Boise she started serving on the St. Alphonsus Foundation Board, where she learned about Project Haiti and the work Fr. Rick was doing.
Soon Angie found herself back in Haiti, this time with Fr. Rick, who asked her if she would accompany Fr. Enzo on a hurricane relief mission to a remote village.
